That's right, you do. They're simple. To make them real, you'd have to put some of the code on a server. But still, the apps work, and they have the right interfaces, and the right features.
More importantly, you know how web apps work. You know about looping over record sets, making edit forms… lots of other things. From here, you can learn what you want. You'll have a solid foundation for it.
